Sunset in the lavender fields

Road trip: Hiking shoes, polar, we are expecting some cold as our final destination is Orcieres in the Alps, knife, sunglasses, headlamps, tripod and camera, backpack ready. Bottle of red (obligatory), chunks of cheese, goat included of course, fresh baguette, assorted spreads and all the elements necessary for the gin & tonics. Off we go.

Little we knew that crossing the Valensole fields we would find lavender on its prime time, we couldn’t resist the colours, the scenery, the view. We had to stop to admire and take some photos, a quick stop to walk around the town of Valensole, to admire its provençal buildings and colorful doors, have a lavender ice cream and a beer. Later we decided to go back to the fields to stay for the sunset. Good choice! here is how it went.

  1. Me gustaria estar alli, y mucho.

  2. Wow! I loved all of your pictures! I’ve always wanted to see a field full of flowers (still on my bucket list). I love that you guys are traveling and meeting people! It helps to gain a new perspective and learn to be humble. You know St. Augustine had said, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page”.
There is so much beauty in this world that must be seen! Enjoy it!
    God bless.

    1. 1. Merci Ju ! Tu as vu l’article sur Yangon ?
